Spain. Supreme Court Acquits Barcelona Cannabis Social Club Leaders



A major ruling in favour of a Barcelona Cannabis social club means that the directors have been acquitted of charges brought against them for production and distribution of cannabis.  Its a significant step forward for the viability of Spanish cannabis social clubs, and will reassure the thousands of members that the ‘social club’ system will continue.  
The Supreme Court remarked that the Cannabis social clubs followed all the correct procedures, registering themselves fully with the authorities and being honest and transparent throughout.  The ruling means the the remaining Spanish cannabis clubs can operate with even greater safety and legal protection.
