USA. Historic USA medical cannabis bill could end federal ban on medical marijuana

Blue AutoMazar

The USA continues to set new standards for the improvement of cannabis legislation.  This week a bill from Senators Cory, Booker and Rand Paul called the Compassionate Access Bill has been unveiled.  If it can be passed into law it will effectively end the federal war on the medical use of cannabis.  The Bill was created with the input of the Drug Policy Alliance, the Marijuana Policy Project and Americans For Safe Access and is regarded as one of the most progressive pieces of Drug Policy seen in the USA, reclassifying cannabis so far as the Drug Enforcement Agency is concerned and also allowing inter-state transport, improved research and simpler prescribing rights for Doctors.
Other benefits of the bill will mean improved banking rights for medical cannabis companies.  Currently this is forbidden by federal rules.
