Good news continues to arrive for the cannabis community in Chile. As previously reported
Chile is moving quickly to produce its own legal cannabis crops for cancer patients. And in a recent announcement from Jaime Pena, Director of Agriculture Services, ‘anyon'e can now apply for a permit for cannabis growing at home. Permits applications will be reviewed, but it is a remarkable sign of political progress that the Chile politicians are taking such progressive steps. The legalisation example set by Uruguay has demonstrated to other South American states that cannabis can be safely regulated for the benefit of recreational and medical consumers in a way which completely removes revenues for the drug cartels that have caused so much damage to the South American economy.
