Iran. Should cannabis be regulated?

Irans ‘Expediency council’ is considering some unexpected moves to regulate and legalize the supply of cannabis.  Its an unexpected approach for Iran to look at, but Iran has already struggled a great deal with the impact of drugs and Iran has some 6000 Methadone clinics and a ‘clean needle’ system for hard drug addicts.  This shows that Iran has been forced to adopt progressive thinking.  Cannabis legalisation would allow the Iranian authorities to remove a valuable source of revenue from the organised criminals.  If Iran does legalize cannabis it will be another remarkable sign that cannabis prohibition is coming to an end.
