South Africa. Cannabis legalized for domestic use

After a great deal of campaigning, South Africa has finally approved the home cultivation and domestic use of cannabis or ‘Dagga’ as it is often referred to in South Africa.  The Western Cape High Court has declared it is legal for adults to use marijuana in private homes.  However, until the Constitutional Court confirms the ruling and refers it to the National Assembly it’s still technically illegal in terms of the country's laws, though this technical illegality will not be enforced and the National Assembly will implement the High Court decision.    Its another step forward for recreational and medical cannabis users.  And the decision will allow South Africa’s Police force to concentrate on more important matters.
