Sweden grants first medical cannabis licenses



Sweden.  The normally anti-cannabis Swedish Government have surprised a few people with the news that two Swedish citizens have been given permission to use cannabis for chronic pain reduction.  Its a first for Sweden, Scandinavia in general has been slow to acknowledge the medical benefits of cannabis.  The cannabis is thought to be supplied by Bedrocan in Holland, and Swedish authorities are keen to point out that this is not a general medical legalisation for the public.  Each prospective cannabis user must apply for individual permission from the Government before they can get cannabis.  But its a fantastic first step for medical cannnabis users in Sweden and surrounding countries.
