USA. New York Times backs cannabis legalisation votes in Oregon, Alaska and D.C.

As cannabis legalization rolls out steadily across the USA the New York Times has officially endorsed the next 3 legalization votes on Nov 4th in Oregon Alaska and Washington DC.  The collapse of cannabis prohibition in the USA continues, and the US public are now fully aware that cannabis is a safe natural medicine and is also safer for responsible adult recreational use than either alcohol or tobacco.  The New York Times clearly feels that the time has come for the Federal Government to step in or face being completely sidestepped by the individual states  who are now clearly following their own paths on this issue.
"This November, voters in Alaska, Oregon and the District of Columbia will decide whether to do the same — effectively disregarding the misguided federal ban on a drug that is far less dangerous than alcohol. Decades of arresting people for buying, selling and using marijuana have hurt more than helped society, and minority communities have been disproportionately affected by the harsh criminal penalties of prohibition.
