The momentum behind medical/recreational cannabis legalisation in the USA has caught everyone by surprise, with around half the continent having cannabis use permitted. CNN have become a vocal voice in the debate, and the New York Times has also switched allegiance to the pro-cannabis debate. CNN claim one of the main reasons for the change is that the baby boomers of the 60’s are themselves in favour of legalisation, with many of them being ex-tokers or knowing someone who was. The younger generations are, naturally, also keen to see cannabis legalized. Which only leaves the federal government behind, and they are being bypassed by state law.
